Under his guidance, Maryam resided in a secluded chamber within the temple, dedicating her life to worship. Zakariya ensured she was provided for, regularly checking on her well-being.

"Maryam," he inquired gently, "where did you receive this sustenance?"

She replied with serene confidence, "It is from Allah. Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account."

Allah replied, "Thus it will be. Your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, for I created you before while you were nothing.'"

"My Lord, appoint for me a sign."

Allah said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to people for three nights, being sound."
